Double Podium Success for Amie

Congratulations to Amie on her first podium since joining Swim-1st Junior Tri Club, then just one week later Amie finds her way back on to the podium again.

The first podium was 3rd place at Crowborough Aquathlon on 11th October 2015 and then 3rd place again at the inaugural Brighton Aquathlon. This is what Amie said about her races.

Crowborough: When I heard my name called out for 3rd place,  I was over the moon! It was my first ever Aquathlon race that I had competed in and I achieved my goal of winning my first trophy.

2015 Junior Race Series 3rd for Tallulah

Congratulations to Tallulah who achieved 3rd overall in the Triathlon England South East Junior Race Series 2015. In her first full season with Swim-1st Junior Tri Club Tallulah has worked hard in training and racing to achieve this trophy.

Competitors can score points in their best 3 triathlons and 2 aquathlons or duathlons. The points are then added up to determine final overall positions for the season.

Granite Man 2015

Nicky and Grant at Granite Man 2015

Swim-1st Tri Club Head Coach Grant Mansfield and Swim-1st Tri Club Triathlete Nicky Wilson took on the fun...grueling task that is Granite Man in Guernsey. This is a half iron distance race made up of 1.9km Swim, 90km Bike and a half marathon 21.1km Run! A brilliant effort from both, here is Nicky's report:

It was over a year ago Grant suggested we should enter Granite Man and at the time I thought it was a great idea! I must admit I had a few wobbles in self confidence in past year as to whether I could do it - especially the swim leg.
